Forgotten by Cat Patrick

Book Summery (via Goodreads): Each night when 16 year-old London Lane goes to sleep, her whole world disappears. In the morning, all that's left is a note telling her about a day she can't remember. The whole scenario doesn't exactly make high school or dating that hot guy whose name she can't seem to recall any easier. But when London starts experiencing disturbing visions she can't make sense of, she realizes it's time to learn a little more about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

Part psychological drama, part romance, and part mystery, this thought-provoking novel will inspire readers to consider the what-if's in their own lives and recognize the power they have to control their destinies.

Book Review:
I will do my very best to say more than this book is awesome, you should read it. But you should know, this book is awesome and you should read it! This character drive novel had me hooked at hello! London is an amazing main character and her voice drew me in right from the first page. She struggles so much, but what I love about her is that she never gives up. London is the kind of character that perseveres in the face of adversity. Even when she remembers that things are going to get rough, she keeps going...looking forward to a bright spot in the midst of a storm. Her friend Jamie, however, left more to be desired. Luke! How I adored Luke! I wish I could find a fella like him in real life. A perfect compliment to London! Another aspect I loved about this novel is that sometimes the reader is privy to people and events that London forgets. Other times, we are learning and discovering right along side London. This made for some captivated reading. I would try to solve some of the mysteries before London could....though most times I couldn't. There were some twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Overall, this book was packed with mystery, romance, and drama...a great combination! My only disappointment was when the novel ended. I crave to learn more about London and her world. I hope that Patrick continues to write more in this setting!

Favorite Quote:
"Tears upon tears splat on to the lined pages in my hands as I read about a nightmare come true. Quickly, I wipe away the saltwater so it won't fade the ink. Because even as my chest caves in and makes me hate the chipper birds and everything else, I know that I needed to read this today, and I need to read it again tomorrow.
For me, reading is remembering." (p. 222)

Cover Art Commentary:
I love the simplicity of this cover. The colors are clean and modest. I love the boldness of the title. It makes you want to peak behind and see what's going on.
