Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Fairytale Retellings I've Read/Want to Read

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Fairytale Retellings I've Read/Want to Read

Books I've Read:
Cinder (the entire series) by Marissa Meyer:
I love this whole series! Each book incorporates many fairytales!

This is a re-telling of Persephone and Hades.

Beastly by Alex Flinn
This is a re-telling of Beauty and the Beast.

Ice by Sarah Beth Durst
This is a re-telling of the Ice Bear King and the troll castle.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman
I'm not sure if this counts...but it does in my book. This is mesh-up of traditional Nordic gods and today's "American" gods. It's one of my all-time favorite books!

Impossible by Nancy Werlin
This story is based on the song Scarborough Fair.

by Gregory Maguire
This is a retelling of The Wizard of Oz. Love the musical, not the book.

Abandon by Meg Cabot
This is another re-telling of Persephone and Hades.

Books I want to read:
Grimm Tales for Young and Old by Philip Pullman (Retelling), Jacob Grimm, Wilhelm Grimm
I think this is pretty self-explanatory.

Splintered by A.G. Howard
This is a re-telling of Alice in Wonderland.
